I can be standing still and I will just lose all my balance and start to fall. I've come close to falling to the ground but managed to catch myself. I can also be walking and I will just lose my balance and I will just fall into someone or catch myself before falling to the ground. Because of this I have jerked my body which then really hurts me. I experience the vertigo and dizziness, along with tinnitus. Research results I've found indicate a large percentage of people who have fibromyalgia report this is one of their symptoms. Medical information indicates fibromyalgia sometimes affects the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve "manages" heartbeat, breathing, etc. It is the manager of the central nervous system.
I bang into doors, door frames chairs some days I'm scared to move as I knock stuff over and crash into alsorts loose my shopping keys. Don't tell anyone but I always leave my flat open when I go out. It's such a relief not to hunt for keys. I go dizzy on the floor, that always confuses me. This doesn't happen everyday (thankfully) I've learnt over time to stop breath and bring myself back to this moment. We are so used to rushing here rushing there and most people without even realising it are out the car and in the supermarket before they leave home. How many times have you gone to do something and couldn't remember how you got there! Auto pilot. Not good.
Now I try very hard to take each moment each step so I am present in every moment. I don't want to miss a thing 🌷
Yes I do. It's frustrating and sometimes embarrassing. Especially when falling sideways for no logical reason.

My doctor told me to check my blood pressure sitting down, then Stand up and recheck blood pressure, mine rose very fast when I stood up. For me it was pots. But something to give your doctor.
@A MyFibroTeam Member. I can't send a picture. I've have an old flip phone only for emergencies. There are stores in your area that carry shoes like New Balance ,if you'd like to try the wider size. Or you can go to New Balance.com. They also have them on Amazon. It would be nice if you could go to a store and try them on to see how they fit and feel. Hope this helps.
