That sounds absolutely exhausting, and it makes complete sense to feel frustrated when your body keeps letting you down — especially during something as precious as time with your grandkids. You are not alone in feeling this way. Many a MyFibroTeam member has shared that same "sick and tired of being sick and tired" feeling.
The combination of severe nausea, dizziness, crushing fatigue, and insomnia can all be connected to fibromyalgia itself, but the timing here is really important to flag. The medication switch your pain doctor made 2 months ago lines up closely with when things got worse. Some pain medications can cause:
- Nausea and dizziness, especially during transitions
- Disrupted sleep patterns
- Increased fatigue as your body adjusts
This really warrants a direct conversation with your doctor as soon as possible. Be specific — tell them the nausea, dizziness, and fatigue have been severe since the medication change. The insomnia layered on top of everything makes recovery so much harder. Poor sleep is known to amplify fibromyalgia pain and fatigue significantly, creating a brutal cycle that's hard to break.
Don't downplay your symptoms when speaking to your doctor. What you're experiencing is seriously affecting your quality of life, and you deserve real answers and relief — not just a shrug and a new prescription.
