Yes definitely. I sometimes feel like I'm carrying a tonne weight and my body just wants to drop. The simplistic of tasks become the hardest to do. Xx

Does anyone else experience feeling like their body is going to collapse, almost like it doesn't want to hold itself up anymore?

Yes, this feeling is something many people with fibromyalgia experience. The overwhelming fatigue and muscle weakness can make it feel like your body is giving out, even when you're trying to stay upright.

A MyFibroTeam member described this perfectly, saying they couldn't sit or stand up straight, with shoulders permanently hunched over and head hung low. They shuffled along slowly because their knees couldn't bend properly, and their doctor noted they looked as though every part of them was in agony.

This sensation often comes from:
- Severe muscle fatigue and weakness
- Pain that makes it difficult to maintain posture
- The exhausting effort of managing constant symptoms
- Your body's way of signaling it needs rest

When you're feeling this way, it's your body telling you it's reached its limit. Many find that using heat pads, TENS machines, or simply allowing themselves to rest can help manage these particularly difficult moments.

You're not alone in this struggle - it's a real and valid part of living with fibromyalgia.

I too have debilitating fatigue. I'm usually in a recliner with my feet up,on the lap top or phone or watching TV, but this past month Ijust nod off and on not really able to pay attention to anything. It's getting harder to ride my recumbent bike due to the fatigue/pain but I'm getting at least 10 minutes a day.
