Yes, many of us. Some have IBS/D and others have IBS/C. I have the IBS/C ,which is constipation. So all of my IBS episodes that include diarrhea, starts with constipation first.
I take a strong probiotic now, which helps a lot. Also, I cannot have the oils that are in processed foods like palm oil, etc. also if I eat too many fatty foods together, I will have an attack. We are all different so this may not apply to you. Years ago, I found in a healthy food book to drink red wine when you have an attack, it really works. It stops it in its tracks.

Do people with fibro commonly experience IBS?

Yes, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is a common comorbidity with fibromyalgia. Many people living with fibro also deal with IBS, so you're definitely not alone in experiencing both conditions together.

Fibromyalgia frequently coexists with multiple medical conditions, and digestive issues like IBS are among the more common ones that overlap. The chronic pain and other symptoms of fibro can make managing IBS even more challenging.

If you've been dealing with IBS for a long time alongside your fibro, it's worth discussing with your healthcare provider how to manage both conditions together, as they can sometimes influence each other.
