Fallen down the stairs tore my ligaments and tendon in my ankle,
Fallen out of the bath almost hit myself on the toilet so I put my arm down totally misplaced it and broke it needed surgery on it these are my worst 3 injuries but I have had alot!
Thats why I live in a flat without stairs and have a walk in shower! I don't know if its anything to do with fibromyalgia!

Members connected deeply over the shared experience of frequent falls and clumsiness, with many describing serious injuries including broken bones, torn ligaments, and painful recoveries that often required surgery or extended healing times. Several members offered practical safety strategies such as installing grab bars in bathrooms, using reachers to avoid bending, taking stairs backwards or with a four-cornered cane, wearing silicone pot holders when cooking, and moving more slowly in unfamiliar spaces to prevent dizziness-related falls. A recurring theme was that many felt clumsy even before fibromyalgia but noticed their balance, coordination, and tendency to drop things worsened significantly after diagnosis, leading to heightened fear of future injuries and the need for environmental modifications like walk-in showers and stair-free living spaces.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I have always been a clutz! Lol. I have fallen down stairs before and I broke my pinky. I walked into a stop sign one time when I was walking and talking to someone behind me. 😩
All that was pre-fibro. Now I drop things all day everyday. Thank goodness for my students who are kind and pick things up. Have you tried a reacher tool? Saves your back. I will post a picture. Please ignore the mess!

I have bad balance so I walk slowly and carefully in unfamiliar places cause I can get dizzy too. Be careful.
