I used to be a cold person a really cold person infact! In summer I would wear a coat, at work I wore 2/3 jackets and put a hot water bottle down my top so it stayed on my belly. I had an electric blanket it on most the time! Since a year before I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2017 it all changed! I was hot all the time like really hot! I have a ceiling fan on constantly! Leave my bedroom window open all day, I do not have a quilt on my bed just a quilt cover. I have up to 5 fans on at the… read more

Members connected over the frustrating experience of temperature dysregulation with fibromyalgia, with many describing dramatic shifts from being extremely cold to constantly overheated, or swinging unpredictably between both extremes throughout the day and night. Several members shared practical cooling strategies including keeping multiple fans running year-round, drinking frozen water, taking cold showers, eating ice pops, wearing tank tops in winter, and leaving windows open constantly, while others noted that perimenopause and menopause compound the problem with added hot flashes and sweating. A recurring theme was the challenge of managing something you cannot easily control, the social awkwardness of dressing differently than others around you, and the relief of knowing others truly understand this isolating and often misunderstood symptom.

Hahahahaaaaaaa! Those always make me laugh. I remember in the old days when I had Facebook. I don't actually call it that, I'm being polite πŸ˜‚ buttbook. Those onwards and upwards buttercup gifs used to crack me up.
I did not realise that other people actually took them seriously. I sent one to a mate chuckling away. It was a cat sitting on a donkey the cat was raising his sword. It proper tickled me.
Not my mate. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I'd moved on from that moment and on my next visit to my mate, she was very moody and grunting rather than talking. In the end I just said 'For goodness sake, spit it out what's wrong'
You put that picture on my wall, that narrowed it down a tad. I put many pics on her wall to cheer the moody moo up. Apparently she was having a really bad day and I'd told her 'Onwards and upwards buttercup'
Seriously!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ So it didn't cheer you up then. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I don't do buttbook anymore πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
