I did not understand this person is both in your physical life and also active on MyFibroTeams.

That is something I believe we may have some control over.
You can write in to MyFibroTeams about this.
I’d be happy to write in myself and report anyone who is being harmful to someone, but I haven’t seen anything.

You could share the username so we could keep an eye out and help. 💛

In my experience, the police was mostly a formality and little to no actual help.
They are great after the fact or in the actual moment. But as you well know, getting them there in the moment is not always possible for so many reasons.

I’m not saying not to reach out to them. If you feel unsafe call them. I’m sure they can provide you with some information as well. But I did want to elaborate on what resources I’m talking about.

Often times there will be organizations in your area that help people in a variety of ways get out of abusive homes and situations.
In looking for these resources, going to or calling churches or shelters may be a good place to start to gather this information on what your options are for help.

I’d be happy to see what I could find on my end if I knew your general location.

But places like the National Domestic Hotline, Adult Protective Services, Center for Prevention of Abuse, and things of that nature can also be a great place to start.

If you live in the states you should be able to go to your state run website (.gov) and find some resources there as well.

Talking to someone trained in this area (whether on a hotline or elsewhere) can be instrumental in navigating your depression and grief while also coping with an unsafe situation.
Most of these hotlines offer chat and text options as well.

I hope you won’t wait.
Forgive me for saying so, but that is the trap.

Take care 💛

If you can ring to get help. Ring your country's emergency number. Talk to the police or they may be able to connect you with someone. Sending love.

Not knowing what you are talking about, I still think you are right to question the intention.
But whatever the intention is remains about that person, not you.

I wouldn’t give it your time, peace, or energy- but that’s just me.
Easier said I know, but try and release it and not take it personally. It’s about practice not perfection.

A hack based in science is not to give things of this nature your thoughts. If you can resist it for 90 seconds or so and not get caught up in rumination that chemical response and emotion will decrease dramatically.
If it doesn’t decrease then fuel is still being provided.

Takes practice and not getting it right a lot, but it does help. 💛
