Are you asking about taking meloxicam together with Cymbalta and Lyrica for fibromyalgia?
Cymbalta and Lyrica are both FDA-approved medications commonly used to treat fibromyalgia. Cymbalta is an SNRI antidepressant that helps with pain, fatigue, and depression, while Lyrica is an anti-seizure medication that reduces pain signals and improves sleep quality.
Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that's not specifically mentioned in fibromyalgia treatment guidelines. While over-the-counter pain relievers are sometimes used for fibromyalgia, it's important to discuss any medication combination with your doctor.
When taking multiple medications together, there can be potential interactions or side effects to consider. Your healthcare provider can evaluate whether this combination is safe and appropriate for your specific situation, especially since both Cymbalta and Lyrica can cause drowsiness and other side effects.
A MyFibroTeam member shared their experience switching between medications, noting how Cymbalta helped with both pain and mood, highlighting how individual responses to these medications can vary.

That said, Meloxicam is safe to take chronically, it's how I'm surviving right now and my PCP said it is not nearly as hard on the stomach as other medications. I do try to skip a day or two between doses where possible, sometimes taking a shorter-acting medicine instead, but only for less than a day. An increase in my Mirtazapine dose to 22.5 has also been helpful, and I also take 120 mg of Cymbalta daily. I could not tolerate Lyrica, as it made my depression and anxiety much worse.
