Hi all! My feet and shins have been killing me, and it's keeping me from walking as much as I'd like. Has anyone found any orthopedic shoes they would recommend to help with foot pain while walking and standing?

Thanks daisy…can you give me the model number? There’s so many different ones on their website.. I need one that’s not too high off the ground. Some of them have a really high wedge. Thank you.

I know this is an older post/thread, but after a little trial and error (thank you for all your awesome suggestions!), I ended up going with Hoka hard-surface walking shoes and oh. my. goodness. Game changing! My feet and knees feel so much better. Anyone still looking for options, I would recommend Hoka to anyone and everyone. Thank you all for all the options and suggestions!
I’ve started wearing Hoka shoes…they’re a bit expensive but,for me, well worth it. Whatever is in the bottom is heavenly.
My feet pronate inward. I have a very high arch. I tried orthotics from the foot doctor, but they were too hard for my foot and hurt. I found a chiropractor who measured my foot and sent away for insoles that are a plastic rubber like substance that moves. I’ve had these for years now and they’re the best for me. Otherwise, I can wear a Merrill shoe, for a little while. Worst thing is for me to go barefoot for very long. I fuse CBD cream and emu cream on my arthritic feet and toes?
I get really bad shin pain during the winter. Sometimes I think it might be because I’m not walking enough then. I use CBD cream on my shins morning and before bed. I hope some of these suggestions help.
@A MyFibroTeam Member Anne posted a great reference for shoes awhile back, which was just fantastic!
I haven’t tried an orthotics, but I have a lot of foot pain and have tried a lot of shoes.
Wide toe boxes and insoles seem to be the game changer for me.
Some of the brands I’ve had luck with are Topo, Altra, Sketchers, and Whitins.
If it wasn’t so weird I’d carry an anti fatigue mat around with me. But adding those in spaces you stand around the house can help!
Hope you find some shoes that work for you!!
