It's true that a companion animal of any kind is great for emotional wellness, lowering blood pressure, reducing anxiety and/or depression, having a purpose, getting some exercise, improved sleep, and more. Choose a cat particularly if you just want a peaceful companion and choose a dog if you are looking for someone to do pretty much everything with. Your dog can go on car rides, go play at the dog park, cuddle with you and get you up and moving. Personally, I don't know how people live without a pet.
Absolutely my two cats are emotional support Cats. They are the greatest and will comfort you when you are sad.
I always have had cats.
@A MyFibroTeam Member, that looks just like my Brie. Brie is a Maltese mix. She's 8.5 lb. and will turn 1 this month.
I have had one or two dogs my entire adult life. I now have a Maltese mix named Brie. Dogs are so good for well-being. She rests with me when I am in pain and exercises me when I can do it. She truly fills my life and I would never live without a dog. Do your research and get the right breed for you. Mixed breeds tend to be healthier and live longer because whatever is known to be a medical issue with a specific breed gets bred out in mixed breeds. Good luck and keep us posted! ❤️❤️❤️
