Yes to both. I’ve had fibromyalgia and insomnia since early teens. Difficulty falling asleep, and staying asleep. It got way worse at menopause. Then I took Excederin PM. They don’t make it anymore, but Tylenol and Advil have their own brands of it. Their dose is not as high as the Excederin…but does help others. Doctor had me stop taking it because I’m over 60. So now I take regularTylenol and CBD. I wake up after three or four hours and take some more , and go back to sleep another three or four hours. I might lay awake for an hour or so ,before it kicks in the second time. Hope you find something that works.
There’s IBS – C ..and IBS – D. I’m IBS – C constipated. I’ll be constipated then I’ll get pains in my stomach and diarrhea. But I found that I was getting IBS from processed foods with hydrogenated oils in them. Now I’m careful with my diet and I rarely get it. You know what worked like a charm ? Drinking red wine ,🍷 when I got in an attack. I also take probiotics every day now.
I've had terrible reactions to all over the counter meds. The one time I had red wine it triggered a migraine and a trip to the ER. I've tried medical marijuana products with terrible results.
My doctor started me on trazodone about a month ago and I'm getting a couple hours sleep. I'm certainly grateful.
Having all of you respond really helps me because it makes me feel like there are people who understand! Thank you to everybody here! Your support means a lot to me!
Yea insomnia is part iff fibromyalgia ibs too xxxx
Yup, part of fibro. I was unable to tolerate trazadone or melatonin. I use cannabis gummies to help with sleep. Still struggling with IBS. Sending good vibes and hugs!
I have it - sometimes it’s not constant but I can go days sometimes without sleeping it’s insane 😅 then I randomly go into sleeping ALOT and balance back out
