My sister and I got together to purchase a leather electric recliner for our mom but it's been 4 months and she has not paid anything yet. When I text her about it she doesn't respond. It's a $1500 chair and the financing is in my name
Meanwhile I sent a text to my best friend yesterday and he was very rude and cryptic with me. Instead of a quick, positive reply he wrote things like, "I'm slitting my wrists," implying that he couldn't deal with me or the conversation

Members strongly confirmed that stress can trigger intense, full-body flares, with many describing similar experiences of widespread pain, migraines, and exhaustion during emotionally difficult times. Several members offered practical strategies for managing stress-induced flares, including distraction techniques, massage, prioritizing sleep, setting boundaries with people who drain energy, and medications like Gabapentin for chronic migraines. A recurring theme was the importance of self-protection and finding supportive spaces where members feel understood, with many encouraging the original poster to distance themselves from people causing harm and to lean on the community for comfort during tough times.

Hi Lisa. Many things can cause flares, and yes, stress is one of them. That's the bad news. But the good news is that it doesn't have to, because we can stop it. As a Hypnotherapist I use what are called The Laws of Suggestion as foundation stones for my practice. One of the Laws of Suggestion is 'The Law of Concentrated Attention', in which what we focus upon increases. If you have a flare and you focus on it, that focus dedicates more brain power, more time and more energy to the flare, and so it appears to get bigger, last longer and feel more draining. Distraction is the simplest way to refocus the mind on something else. For example, how many times have you seen a child fall, graze their knee or elbow, and what Mum does is distract the child to think of something else - be it a smile, a hug, a kiss of the afflicted body part. Distraction away from the hurt breaks its spell over you. Maybe try this - When a flare begins, distract yourself. This brings me on to another of the Laws of Suggestion, the 'Law of Dominant Affect' - An affect is an emotion, and the Law of Dominant Affect essentially states that whatever action you take will be determined by the strongest emotion in play at the time. Hence, when you flare up and feel pain (due to stress), distract yourself with an emotion stronger than pain, such as love, comfort, calm etc. By focusing on that, the flare will be perceived as less relevant. Now I know that the first time you try this it may not work straight away, but if you persist then you will find it gets easier and easier to distract yourself and to reduce the impact of the flares. Hope this helps? 😀

Oh I love you guys so much 💖 thank you all for giving me a soft place to land. As this day goes on things are working out with my sister and I have decided to stay clear of my obnoxious friend for awhile. xoxo

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I think that @A MyFibroTeam Member is right and next time get the money up front and if they start giving you reasons why they can’t, then tell them you’re broke. I find this sort of thing works best if you rehearse it beforehand so that you know what to do

@A MyFibroTeam Member , stress absolutely sets me off. Plus not sleeping makes it worse. A good night's sleep always resets me. I can totally relate, sometimes if I'm stressed a little I won't even answer the phone if my family calls. Just talking and hearing about all their problems sets me off. So sorry you're having a bad time now. 😪Sounds like a stressful mess. I'll be thinking about you. Just try to relax and do something good for yourself today.😊

Hi, how are you today? I'm very sad for you. We're doing our best to fight this health issue but people around think we're weak and just want attention. Sometimes, in our life, we have to put an end to those who are treating us like shit.
