Please, Please look at my previous comment. Belching & gas can indicate problems with your pancreas. If you catch it early can be treated .
Ive had IBS since my teens & thought my gas & belting, something I'd never been able to do until a few years ago, was either caused by IBS or just old age.
I had it a few years ago after a doctor kept prescribing antibiotics for a non existent UTI. Turned out I had endometriosis and that’s why I had symptoms similar, but no lab work that suggested an actual infection. 🫠
I got off topic. 😅
I can’t say that I did, just the rather typical and undesirable symptoms. I was able to resolve it in around 6 months or so.
Does your doctor think whatever you are experiencing is related to SIBO?
I was diagnosed in 2003. Since then they have discovered that Fibromyalgia patients are prone to having high levels of cytokines. This can cause chronic pancreatis. Your pancreas or gut health affects many other organs and health problems. If undiagnosed it can lead to malnutrition and eventually to Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency ( EPI) - The inability to process food. I know, because I have EPI. But cytokines can be lowered thru low dose of naltrexone.
Please, anyone with fibro, but especially those who have had it a long time, get checked.
Many people with fibromyalgia experience digestive issues, including problems with food sensitivities and gut health. Some MyFibroTeam members report having to be very careful about their food choices and often need to bring their own food to events or make special requests at restaurants to manage their symptoms.
