Yes, we've published it IS Genetically Predisposed, but there are 7 Cumulatively Disaffective Trigger Sets, one of which is a car accident (close head injury)... please consider checking out brilliant Dr. J. Teitelbaum's books... 4th ED of "FF2F" first.... I've posted many, many times hereupon!

I also experienced pain and general body discomfort during my pre-teen years. I also had my first sciatic pain problem start when I was 12 but they could never see anything.

My first pregnancy was horribly painful, I was miserable, but my second pregnancy, the combination of going through labor, and getting into a minor car accident and going straight back to work in the factory after months of bedrest...this was the true start of my fibromyalgia as I went through the whole few years of trying to find out what's going on and diagnosed finally.

I think we genetically have this from birth and you progress through stages. I was surprised to find references online in Europe that say there are 4 stages of fibro. I think this may be how they see it in the future as all of our stories start way before we originally believed and follow a similar path with most sufferers.

After thinking back, I think it has been different traumas that have led me to where I am today with my health problems so thank you for your response. I hope you are well today.

We are born with certain genetic factors. These can get turned on or not based on so many potential factors. It’s not a guarantee that they will or won’t.

This is why people can often draw a line from the trauma they have experienced to the onset of symptoms.

Seems reasonable to me that it’s possible to have that turned on as early as being an infant or before. I’m sure there is research on that as well.
We are constantly learning how generations before us and our time in the womb affects us. Pretty fascinating to me.🤓

There are so many of us here who’ve had symptoms as long as we can remember. As well as members who can tell you exactly what event in their life preceded their symptoms.
