Members responded to the question about whether fibromyalgia symptoms worsen over time, with the overwhelming majority sharing that their symptoms have gotten worse over the years, sometimes spanning two to three decades. Several members noted that aging, additional diagnoses, and continued exposure to triggers all seemed to contribute to their decline, though one member shared that staying active, walking regularly, and working from home helped her manage better over time. A recurring theme was the emotional weight of living with a condition that many feel is still not fully understood or agreed upon in the medical community, along with a strong sense of solidarity among those navigating life with fibromyalgia.

Interesting Ms @f1ibrokyn

It has lightly been proven fibromyalgia is a end o road diagnosis. Like a "we don't know wtf but could be we know this".

And I actually don't mean that in a bad way necessarily. Just a hodge podge of a hot mess of can't figure out symptoms but we know these x amount and we named it and then didn't so much else

What we need is better science in rare diseases
All kinds

We also need to stop thinking fibro as only female related cuz this board alone has proof of amazing guys on here suffering fibro or similar and we want them to feel better too

We do and has been proven
Female medicine is way way way behind. From basics to babies to

Rare health problems of course too.

We do know pharmacy industry usually focus on drugs for profit. Especially male related.

Also catch all answers is actually a thing. I've been diagnosed with I think 5+ now
.
Np idea if any are cuz of others or how they fit or IF they fit but i just have a mad medical problems.

A lot of us have other health problems that are easily detected so that adds to our very long files but could be related or unrelated or been diagnosed 10x by different doctors and now think we have 10+ diagnoses but some shit could be crossed out.

It's crazy
And hard
And rare conditions mostly our docs rarely heard of or even spend 3 seconds even hearing about

Fibromyalgia isn't even agreed upon in the medical world as of yet.even as some meds can help some ppl.

I literally started my whole insane health journey by a kidney stone and it's removal surgically and a very long quest of finding out why and a whole Lotta extra body parts going wrong

I dig the q you stated.

Add in myriad of other legit msdical problems as well as pain just being immobilizing n cuz other shit and a very bad day and ppl saying it isn't as bad

Okay I'll get off my yammering soapbox

I was diagnosed in 1995 after a very bad 4 years. I had another 10 years of badness then it seemed to stop progressing. Unfortunately, the rest of my body has hit the skids now. I am not sure of it's all related to fibro or just age since I am 60.

Mine has too, and I'm always suspicious if someone really has it if there's doesn't 🤔
