I was told today from my neurologist there was nothing else he could do for me after leaving me in more pain after having me raise my hands use his metal instruments on me and etc.

CBT - cognitive behavioural Therapy is what my neurologist recommended. It assist more with mental health and physical though…
That’s hard! If you can I’d seek a different neurologist. Although, I realize it isn’t always that easy.

I know it makes some feel like the doctors are saying the pain is in our heads, but CBT is so wonderful when living with chronic pain of any kind.
Yes I’ve been told the same , there’s nothing they can do for me. Cheerikee61 it boils down to exceptance and suffering unfortunately. You have to be your own advocate in finding ways and things that make you comfortable. Perhaps heat , warm baths , eat healthy and just try to keep moving even if it’s light exercise at home . There are utube videos for fibro exercises. I’m extremely sick and in alot of pain myself. Medications for fibromyalgia are supposed to deliver but they really do nothing . I wish you well I know how tuff this syndrome is…. It’s turned me into a total stranger..

No one i see even asks how i feel. My rheumatologist doesn't care, has little to offer me. I just go there for my Prolia shots. Around here, you are better off not talking about it.
