I’ve been wanting to see a Functional Medicine doctor! I wish they weren’t out of pocket. 😭

I know Functional Medicine doctors have a holistic approach in terms of looking at the person as a whole, but they are also trained in traditional medicine and rely on bloodwork and other data. Not the average holistic doctor. 🤷‍♀️

All I know is not one of my doctors has ever tried to look for a root cause as to why I keep collecting diseases. And that’s what Functional Medicine is all about. What’s the root cause?

Speaking of fillings though, this is extremely rare, but I did have a friend who had to replace a silver filling due to mercury poisoning. It was making her incredibly sick. Pretty wild.

I tried a holistic doctor initially before my diagnosis. They had some of the most ridiculous suggestions like removing fillings and pulling teeth. I’m in dentistry so that did not sit well with me at all. It’s extremely unethical to give people that kind of advice without having the appropriate license to do so. I’ve had more success researching natural remedies on my own.

I went to a place that does all lab work and then analysis to your labs. They came back with like $600 of vitamins and supplements for me to take. Results were helpful as far as the 30 page details on what they found. They even tested toxic elements through a hair and blood test. In the end it was overwhelming about the amount of vitamins and minerals I would need so I kinda put it on the back burner.
