Members shared their experiences with severe dizziness and fainting in response to someone experiencing daily episodes, with many emphasizing the importance of seeking a thorough cardiac workup to rule out conditions like POTS, syncope, or arrhythmia. Several members offered practical strategies including using an automatic blood pressure cuff to monitor for low readings throughout the day, rising slowly from seated or lying positions, maintaining electrolyte and sodium intake, and considering an ear specialist to check for viral causes of dizziness. A recurring theme was genuine concern for the original poster's worsening symptoms, with the community urging immediate medical follow-up and expressing frustration that fibromyalgia alone may not explain the severity of what they are experiencing.

Yes, but that sounds like postural orthstatic symptoms. Do you notice your heart rate speed up? You should consider a cardiac workup. Explain to the cardiologist about your fainting spell and the symptoms that came with it. This is referred to in Cardiology as 'syncope'. Perhaps a yet to be discovered reason will turn up with testing.

That would be fantastic flooring, but I don't want to know what it would remember.

I'm having similar issues. As soon as spring hits, I'm pool-noodling my entire part of the house. I have bruises all over me. Fibromyalgia has made my bruising so much worse. I'm more fragile than a damn peach. UGH, I hate peaches.

If you can afford to, then please buy a good quality automatic blood pressure cuff. People with fibromyalgia can also be subject to P.O.T.S. which often doesn't show up at medical visits. Check your blood pressure often throughout the day and note any low end pressures because this can cause weakness and dizziness. You may also need a cardiac workup to check for arrhythmia. Another thing to consider would be an otoscopic exam by an M.D. who specializes in the ear and can look for evidence of viral activity in your ear because sometimes a latent virus can resurge in your ear and cause dizziness especially if the dizziness is severe or causes you to vomit.
Rest and rise slowly from a seated or reclined position. Always give yourself time to rise incrementally. Should you discover any low blood pressures drink electrolytes (if medically permitted) keep up your sodium intake unless you are on restri tons.
Please be careful Trevor.

I hope someday there will be biomarker accessible testing for all these conditions.
