Members shared mixed experiences with Duloxetine for anxiety and pain, with some finding relief while others struggled with side effects or effectiveness over time. Several members described initial side effects including dizziness, sore eyes, restlessness, and extreme drowsiness in the first few days or week, with strong advice to start carefully, avoid driving initially, and closely monitor mood changes as the medication can affect mental health quickly. A recurring theme was that everyone responds differently to the medication, with some members successfully managing pain and anxiety for years while others found it became less effective over time or too difficult to discontinue, leading to caution about long-term use and dependency.

I was started on the minimum dose 30mg. Then after a week went up to 60mg. You are right Shelley6, everyone is different, and will experience different side effects to someone else. That's why I took it, when I knew I wasn't doing anything or going anywhere for a few days xxx

I asked my doctor about it when the first big advertisement push happened. At that point all the side effects had not been reported and I hoped for relief.. It seemed to work well, over the years it no longer worked and I started to have more side effects. At this point the side effects are much worse than the initial pain. I am very slowly tapering off it. Highly addictive I cannot miss a dose. I wish I had never started it. Believe the articles you have read it is not worth it.

I'm on it and have been on it for 6 months. First few days, it gave me sore eyes, and felt a bit dizzy, and restless at night. This lasted about a week. I don't know what dose you were started on, but I was put on minimum 30mg, now I am on maximum 120mg as my depression /anxiety and pain was so bad 💖 xxx

Perhaps try to instead treat the underlying causation, it's more effective than slapping band - aids on symptoms. see my prior posts on Dr. J Teitelbaum's brilliant protocols in his books.

I'm taking melexocam for inflammation. It really helps the pain. Plus I take effexor xr and geodon for anxiety and depression. It all works great!
