Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing widespread fibromyalgia pain throughout their entire bodies every single day, with many describing mornings and post-sleep stiffness as particularly challenging times. Several members shared that chronic fatigue can be even more debilitating than the pain itself, leaving them too exhausted to read, watch television, or safely drive, while medical professionals often offer little help beyond suggesting exercise that feels impossible to manage. A recurring theme was finding small ways to cope, whether through humor, limiting pity parties to set timeframes, gentle movement when possible, watching the Olympics during sleepless nights, and leaning on community support to feel less alone in the struggle.

I can have. It depends on how bad the flare is. Mine is mostly concentrated in my upper back, neck, arms, hands. The extreme fatigue is sometimes worse than the pain. Sometimes the fatigue is so bad I can't read a book or concentrate on tv show. I think the fatigue is even harder to deal with and my doctor has no answers for how to manage it. I also think the fatigue has worsened with age and since I became a caregiver for my mom. I don't know if I will ever get back to typical energy levels. My Dr. Says exercise. Yeah right, I'm so tired I wouldn't trust myself to drive a car some days!
Sorry I am very frustrated with the medical establishment in this country right now. I can't believe with all the medical know how in this country we can't get answers for these diseases that rob people of their careers and their lives.

We all do, Trev. You either have it or you don’t. Granted, some people seem to have more intense pain…sounds like you’re one of them. So sorry, truly! 😘

And chronic pain is long standing pain that persists beyond the usual recovery period or occurs along with a chronic health condition, such as arthritis. Chronic pain may be "on" and "off" or continuous. It may affect people to the point that they can't work, eat properly, take part in physical activity, or enjoy life.
