@A MyFibroTeam Member,
I've never heard of it before until was diagnosed in July.
Adenomyosis is a condition where the lining of the womb (uterus) starts growing into the muscle in the wall of the womb.
'Some symptoms of adenomyosis affect your periods, such as:
painful periods
heavy bleeding during your period
Other symptoms can happen any time in your menstrual cycle, such as:
pelvic pain (pain in the lower part of your tummy)
bloating, heaviness or fullness in your tummy (abdomen)
pain during sex.
If you live in the UK, you can read more on the NHS website.
Not trying to be a jerk-
Never heard of andemyosis and googling gives me not so good answers.
If you don't mind me asking that is.
Never diagnosed but have some of symptoms. Always had heavy periods, pain in abdomin and pain during sex as well. God bless!
