Members connected over the frightening experience of sudden leg paralysis or weakness that can happen without warning, with several describing moments when their legs simply refused to move, sometimes leading to falls and injuries. Many shared that the sensation is accompanied by intense pain, burning, or locking in the legs, hips, and back, with one member describing the terrifying feeling of paralyzed nerves that initially made them fear they had MS. A recurring theme was the unpredictability and strangeness of these episodes, which often happen just once or twice a year but leave members feeling vulnerable, especially those still working or needing to walk regularly.

I have a lot of problems with my legs and hips. My legs get very week and I collapse. I have gotten black eyes and contusions. Abrasions. It's awful. I do have a very hard time trying to move at times. It is a horrible feeling. I hope you are doing well today

Yes! Sometimes I will be walking fine and the backs of my thighs and hips begin to burn and lock up. It is the strangest and most painful thing! I am still working and it concerns me when I have to walk a lot
