Rheumatologist says fibromyalgia does not cause inflammation but I have also had PC say that it does. The back and forth with information drives me crazy with fibro.
My doc says it does. He has fibro and has written books, done seminars. He's world known
I know access to healthcare can come with a lot of issues but also wanted to mention that for some people getting a second opinion from a different rheumatologist can be worthwhile. For me, it took my 2nd try with a rheumatologist to get anywhere.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I've heard from many others who go through this as well. I personally think that sometimes a doctor gets too focused on is this fibromyalgia or an autoimmune condition. I'm someone who has both. So, I think that continuing to see a rheumatologist to keep track of labs, plus keeping track of symptoms and what helps relieve them is so important. I hope you get answers.
