What Do You Take For Pain! 😩
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

My knees are so sore and stinging/stiff. My consultant said there’s nothing that will work for the pain. I’m on 90mg duloxetine but can’t say I’ve noticed much difference

Meloxicam helps a little for the soreness in my knees (it doesn't fix it but it takes the edge off a bit). I was diagnosed with osteaoarthritis but the MRI showed that my knees are actually structurally very good. I found that the constant tension was causing the knee pain, and going to physical therapy really helped. At the first appointment they used a massage gun (strangely using it mostly on my feet and ankles helped the most) and since then the constant joint pain in my knees hasn't been nearly as bad. For the muscle pain topical magnesium works really well for me and allows me to walk better than I could before. I hope you can find some relief. <3

Hi @A MyFibroTeam Member I noticed you live in the UK as do I. I too struggled to get out of the bath but loved the hot water easing my aching and painful body so I contacted the Occupational Health dept at my local council and they assessed my needs and fitted me with a bath chair to use getting in and out without more pain which is brilliant and I also use walker which is great for getting out now and again for a little bit and I also use an indoor walker for getting about inside. I hope you can find relief and aids that can help you. Hugs Sue x

Hi, I am on a cocktail of meds, have osteoarthritis and soon require knee replacements. When I get a flare up, tens helps, Tylenol for arthritis, but mostly a script for Diclofenac 1.5%. It’s an anti inflammatory, and I’m only allowed 10 drops per knee (long story) but, it truly helps. Speak to your physician. Good luck.

Believe it or not, I just tried Frankincense oil. My shoulder was driving me crazy. I used the Tens machine and the Frankincense for 3 days. It worked. I tried it on a whim and was pleasantly surprised.
