When there is elastic, it's very wide, so it doesn't dig in .

On bad days yes. The softer the fabric the better. Tags sometimes irritate

I have the same problem. I have to wear everything loose. Waistbands are painful if it is too wide. I can get by with the narrow ones because they're not too close to my belly button. I have had this problem my whole life.
