Hi Helen
I can't say what meds to ask for in particular but I have jaw pain too, I have lost 2 upper teeth from clinching them when pain was really bad. I still have extreme pain flare up but for today it's a dull pain.
I use a mouth rinse called Biotene to help keep the mouth more moisture which may help the nerves in your gums. Sometimes you can get a better price on a big bottle of Biootene on Amazon.
I hope this can help.
Take care
Gail

I went to my dentist and she pulled 2 of my teeth out, might have to go back and get another 2 pulled on the left side. It's calmed down since then, but seem's my teeth have gotten worse since my Fibro started

I have TMJ so get a lot of pain just in front of my ears. You could try a mouth guard at night as very often you can clench your teeth whilst sleeping. I find it flares up when I am stressed and tired with my fibro.
