Hi! I was on Tramadol and felt I needed a higher dose. My neurologist increased my dosage from 25 mg to 50 mg. After a while I felt it made it worse instead of better. I was on the waiting list for a while to finally see a local rheumatologist in the next town over from ours. When I was talking to him about my medications he explained to me that Tramadol feels good at first but after a while it will keep you screaming for more and more. He recommended I go off of it and go on 500mg of Gabapentin three times a day for three months and then he increased it to 800 mg of Gabapentin three times a day. This has really helped me tremendously. If it is not in 24 hours when I get up I take the amount of hours left in the day and divide it by 8 and take it that way three times a day which works for me. Hugs and prayers and God bless!
I took tramadol for 2 weeks about 20 years ago. I felt drunk all the time and when I came off it the house was a mess and there was spilled coffee everywhere.
I am very sensitive to any kind of medications. I take Oxycodone with a Valuim ( 5mg) at night. The pain medication I have thru the day. It helps take the edge off and leaves some pain. The Tramadol left me throwing up 2 days. My nurse friend he had her head feeling like it was shaking inside. It's a Synthetic made medication.
Yes I take every day and it helps take the edge off
