I've always had alot of infections even in childhood. I do believe it's all connected somehow. When I'm sick I'm "more so" and takes me alot longer to get over than other people
Although FMS is still not autoimmune like Lupus. Fibro. is still considered to be immune compromised. I have a history of chronic sinus infections along with frequent upper respritory infections. So sorry for all that you deal with. Gentle hugs to you, Susan
Thanks Vic! I was originally diagnosed with SLE lupus. When I changed rheumatologists, the new fellow said my bloods were more indicative of Fibro.
I seem to do fine as long as I don’t pick up a bug or virus. Even a cold can lead to severe infection. I have had several hospital admissions for pneumonia.

Happy new year my friend.
Hi Chrissy, it seems that those of us with fibromyalgia can have autoimmune diseases too. I know I do. But my autoimmune diseases didn’t show up until I was 65. Quite a shock.Since you’ve been sick so much, makes me think of Immune Deficiency like I have. And related to my autoimmune lung disease and Polymyalgia Rhuematica.
Who told you it’s not an autoimmune disease? I believe it is and your immune system doesn’t work properly at fighting off infection and illnesses
Please tell me if I am told wrong
