I read and drs say that there is no real inflammation with fibromyalgia, but when my legs ache they are hot to the touch and feel “thick”. Is this normal?
If this is happening go to Dr have them check for blood clots I have a deep vein thrombosis disorder that can cause me to throw blood clots and I am on a blood thinner but fibro makes it harder to detect Bec of pain in joints and muscles if it's inflamed hot to the touch of even turns red not normal at all could be blood clot also if it starts to get numb and tingly very scary life threatening a blood clot can go to your heart and kill you so best to be safe than sorry you could also have inflammation from arthritis or edema another bad sign of your legs get red and are hot to touch and blow up huge and start leaking go to Er too.
Best to be safe than sorry.
No it is not "normal" to feel hot (to the touch) and thick and painful legs with fibromyalgia. If your leg is hot to the touch and thicker than before it is important to let your doctor know as soon as possible, especially if this is something new you are experiencing. Hope you feel better soon!
Sonya🌸🦋🌸, I definately have inflammation with my fibro🫤
Right now my legs hurt but it's a burning feeling inside. They're not hot to the touch, but my arms and hands do that. Especially my hands, they get really hot to the touch.
