Who Manages/treats Your Fibromyalgia
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Can't seem to find doctor who believes fibromyalgia is a legitimate condition and all I get is abuse and neglect. I feel like I need an advocate to help find resources but none seem to exist/be available.

I have the same problem !The last one I sought out practically became my “student “ as opposed to a Dr, in other words I ended up teaching / sharing a lot of knowledge of fibromyalgia. He was clueless ☹️

I had a rheumatologist diagnose me, but they said they didn't treat it and refered me to a pain mgmt specialist. I was lucky because I was already seeing that clinic for chronic nerve pain and the Dr knew all about fibro. I see a neurologist for migraines, he mentioned that he doesn't treat fibro but will work with my pain mgmt Dr to ensure meds work without adverse affects. I was really lucky.
