Just wondering what products/routines are working out. My skin is just as sensitive as my stomach 🙈
That's a neat one Lynne! Does yours have the Labrador tea extract? I had no idea that there was an edible plant in that family. 🤯
I've been using Green Beaver deodorant for about 10 years. It's made somewhere in the lower mainland of British Columbia. It's in the ensuite bathroom and Allen's sleeping, or I'd recite the ingredients.
Coconut based has been the winner recently here too. Just getting to the witch hazel. Aloe seems to be working out well too.
I've been using a baking soda/zinc powder deodorant for the last year without any irritation.
Once I get my head back some I'm going to start with the aha and bha. Gave up on vitamin c for now, such a hassle to work with the pure stuff.
Also found a face sun screen by cerave that's been working out well. The one thing I'm not making. Would like to but finding and testing those actives are hard!
I have been mixing witch hazel and aloe and using it a few times a day or whenever I need a lift. My skin is becoming softer and less wrinkled (I am in my mid 70's) and less dry. I use it on my face too. Use baking soda, coconut oil mixed to a paste to scrub my face about every other day or so. Black heads are disappearing and pores are shrinking. Also mix coconut oil with aloe or witch hazel as a moisturizer. Seems to be helping. Somedays I wish I could just bath in my witch hazel and aloe mixture so I would come out moisturized. Going to try mixing in a little coconut oil at a time this week to see what results I get. It is sort of like food, trial and error. Getting tested Monday for food allergies and sensitives.
For the past 4 months I have been using honey and oatmeal soap made by Island Rain, a local company, available at the farmers market and at Colleen's home. I was using her goats milk soap for several years, but my skin has recently become much drier.
I use witch hazel instead of expensive astringent products. It should be noted that I have adult acne. The less complicated the product, the better my skin can tolerate it.
