I feel like this is one area of health I won the lottery, No Peri-menopause to speak of. One day at 47 I just stopped having a period, I went 13 months had a tiny spotting, then nothing ever again. I am 57. Doctor put me on progesterone for a few years to keep my uterine lining thin and healthy. No side effects from that. I have never even had a hot flash. My mom had a terrible Peri-menopause with months/years of heavy bleeding and emotional hell. Thought I would be in for the same.

I feel really lucky~

Yes,I had a complete hysterectomy at 38. Fibroid tumors haunted me. My periods every month were a blood bath with cramping and so much pain. Best decision of my life. Now at 70, osteoporosis/fibromyalgia is my new health concern. CBD, pain meds and chiropractor visits and my faith in God, are my new best friends. Good luck to all my warriors

I had terrible periods from day 1 !!!!!!!!!! Much pain, horrible bleeding, headaches, and throwing up !!!!! They lasted 3 days and were much worse than the delivery of my 4 children !!!!!! I remember asking the doctor after the birth of #1 - "Is that all there is to it????" Consequently I was not terribly upset to have a hysterectomy in my 30's !!!

Oh definitely a connection! Some doctors actually think there is one.
Yes you read that right!
Only thing is the old school thinkers down play it.

Thank you for all your responses, seems like we all had more than our share of female problems. I hope future research will discover the Fibro connection, if there is one.
