We also have non-allergic rhinitis. I know that global warming is causing pollen seasons pretty much year round. Last spring, I had terrible allergies until frost, which developed into a sinus infection, even on allergy meds, steroid spray, saline, and avoiding being outside much, watching my diet to eliminate yeasts and molds, and cross pollination foods, as I have for decades now
My Dr. Was no help at all this past Feb.I mentioned to her that some of my meds can cause high histamine levels,… read more
I take alot of mucinex. Take claritin on daily basis and i still have several infections a year. Spring and fall are worse for me. I always have alot of disgusting thick phlegm. Keep me posted if you find anything that helps
Sorry you’re suffering with this Ruth. I also have bad allergies. The doctor told me the last few years have been really bad ,especially last year. We had a lot of rain past winter, so everything has started growing like crazy. We even have ragweed ,which never comes until August. I’ve read that mold in homes will cause headaches. If you smell mold, air you home out a lot. I take Zyrtec and Flonase. There’s one more nasal spray called Astelin, helps a lot. But I can’t take it, because it makes me dizzy. So like you, my allergist has nothing else for me. I’ve been able to avoid sinus infection because I use the Neil med sinus rinse, two times a day. Do you use that.? I would start on it, if you’re not using it. “Also, a natural product called Xlear” (over the counter nasal spray), can help to avoid infections. If it’s windy, I don’t go out side. Do you have air conditioning. I have portable air conditioners and they help. I have also air purifiers in bedroom and larger one in front room. Keep your home dust free as possible. I clean my front room every two weeks in my bedroom every two weeks.
I hope something I mentioned will help you. Love 💖🙏Victoria
Allergies and Athsma have been bad the last few years. I have a routine of Allegra and Nasaqort in the morning. Then Tylenol severe sinus and headache in the evening or some Musinex night time. Having FMs/CFS makes things worse and harder to control if I'm not constantly taking my meds for it. I get sick to my stomach and get migraines.
