Hi, Had never heard of it myself and it has never been suggested for me to take. Looking it up online, it sounds a bit risky, but then, if it is only a small dose that you had prescribed and you are careful with when and how you take it, who knows? It may just be what you need. If it was me, and I was in a lot of pain, I think if it was a low dose, I would be tempted to take it. Did you at all chat with your prescribing Dr to ask her if she thought it was the best bet for you - which I guess she did.
You have to remember that with a lot of these pharmaceuticals, they have to err on the side of caution and advise you of each and any bad or deleterous side effect that may have occurred to the occasional person taking the medicine. I would take it, and be very careful - report back to the Dr if or when anything untoward happens.

Well, I pursued with the pharmacist about my concerns. Her response: “everyone gets freaked out reading about side effects. They don’t happen that often. If you’re worried, talk with your doctor.” Real helpful! And I thought pharmacists were the experts on medications. May be time to switch pharmacies!

I just looked it up. It does sound a little serious. I was just thinking about it for my husband but I'm not sure due to all the side effects. Thanks for mentioning it, though.
