Is anyone under the care of a pain management doctor? Does it help? Is it worth it?
I thought I was the only one feeling pain deep inside the bones! Fibro attacks the central nervous system so it is weird that it feels like that. But then again just like a toothache hurts because of the nerves I guess is the same.
I'm so sorry you too are in pain. I'm on week six of 100mg of Savella for my fibromyalgia and it has helped a lot. For reference re the mg. I weigh 180lbs. And am 5'7". Cymbalta didn't work but Savella is. If I was a level 10 pain now I'm about a 6.5 which in my opinion has helped me sleep less and move a little bit more. I used to be so fit and active so adjusting to a much slower life pace has been hard and I don't forsee it getting better beyond what the Savella has done but it's better than nothing.
Somehow someway my pain Dr has had 33 years of experience of having patients with fibro and she had mercy on me. She told me her friend fell back in a chair and broke both of her arms and they only gave her 800mg Ibuprofen. The entire nation is freaked out about the opiate crisis.
My experience is that nothing helps my pain when it's bad except for 5mg oxycodone. Up to 4x a day as needed. I also take Gabapentin and flexiril. Does anyone else's pain feel like you have that toothache pain but it feels like it's in your bones? Just wondering if I'm the only one.
Been on elavil since 1992. Good 4 sleep and ibs I had. Started of with 25mg and now 200. I agree y stop taking meds that don't work.
