What Causes Fibromyalgia
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

People tell me Fibromyalgia is caused by trauma but I was told it's an autoimmune disease. How many people are getting flare ups out of the blue and how many are triggered by stressful events???

I was told it was brought on by trauma physical or mental. This is what I found.

Anne, I'm sorry that you can't afford the sauna.
I couldn't afford therapies either.

I had to leave Austria and come back to my country (Iran), after struggling hard for a new life in Austria, just in order ro afford the therapies.

I wish you find your way in this new life journey :*

I read a lot about fibro in both german and english, the autoimmune theory is not much supported, but trauma and genetics yes

I reviwed my last 4 years hundreds of times in order to find the reasons and get a better support, as I take this subject (fibro) to my psychological therapy every week.

For me I think what brought this monster in my life, was a combination of very high level of stress, lack of Vitamin D, Depression, and traumas and a very chaotic childhood's experiences

I think if you review your life history you can find some reasons.

But what matters for the most is the relief of flare ups, or at least decreasing them.

some of the reasons for my flare ups:

lack of sleep
bad body position by walking, lying, sitting
some food
stress
and

trauma triggers, which could be a sound, a scent, a colour, it could be anything, but if it triggers my trauma, I have a flure up
