What works for you for the fibromyalgia for the pain and chronic pain?!
I have COPD so recently I have had bad flare ups from fibromyalgia and exacerbations of COPD. On heavy doses of prednisone which eventually will kick in and help but it takes a while! But in an everyday use for pain what do you take?!?!!

Members shared a wide variety of pain management strategies for fibromyalgia, with heat therapy emerging as the most popular first-line approach, including heating pads, hot baths with Epsom salts, and microwave heat packs. Several members described their layered pain management systems, combining CBD products (oils, capsules, creams, and gummies), over-the-counter options like Tylenol and ibuprofen, prescription medications including Tramadol, gabapentin, Lyrica, Cymbalta, and muscle relaxers, and supplementation with magnesium and potassium to help relax muscles and reduce cramping. A recurring theme was the highly individual nature of fibromyalgia pain relief, with members emphasizing the importance of finding what works for your own body, using non-medication approaches like massage, mindful meditation, staying hydrated, and practicing gratitude to reframe the experience of living with chronic pain.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, Do you take magnesium? Our bodies use calcium to pull or use our muscles, but uses magnesium to relax the muscle. Magnesium glycamate causes less diarrhea. Magnesium L-Threonate crosses over the brain barrier better and it gives me energy so I take it only in the morning. And a magnesium with potassium helps with leg cramping so I take it at night. Talk to your doctor about adding magnesium if you're not already on it. Oh, I recently read magnesium helps with sleep too, but I've never noticed that personally.

Hi Jodi! That’s quite a list. The gummies and the marijuana, I tried and can’t unfortunately. It depressed my breathing and so many other meds do. I know where I used to live live they had the salt caves, never did it but I will look. I just took a mile (slow walk and purse breathing ) it’s getting hot here so I have to do it early or never! I do take Tramadol twice a day, it takes the edge off . Also klonipin for my anxiety 1-2 times a day dependent on what is going on. I really should try a massage when these flare ups settle down. The only reason why I can do this is I have been on 50 mg of prednisone!
I feel for your mother, I smoked, quit 10 years ago but too late. I have read that people get it that never smoked. That’s a sin!
I hope she isn’t bad bad!! I have seen people smoking like a chimney and for many many years and they never have a problem. It never seises to amaze me.
Thanks for all the info!
Hope you and your mother are having a good day !!!

Different levels of pain, different meds and actions. #1 go to is heat. My heating throw wraps around me from my neck to my hips. I also have 3 more packs that heat in the microwave for moist heat. And never forget the value of a scalding hot epsom salt bath . #2 ice. We keep four packs in the freezer at all times. #3 CBD oil orally, CBD cream for muscles and I pair it with liquid T-relief. You can buy T-relief at Walmart. The best CBD products I've found are from Highland Pharms online. #4 If those didn't help any, that means I'm passing level 5 of pain and usually nausea has set in. Thankfully promethazine helps nausea and also has a mild pain reliever. All of these I repeat over and over every couple of hours until I feel better. If not, then #5 depending on what my pain is, migraine or fibro, I'll take tizanidine for fibromyalgia and 1/2 oxycodone for migraine level 7, or if it's joint related and severe. If migraine beyond level 8, I might move up to the other half of oxy after two hours, but that's it. If those combinations haven't helped, then I crawl in bed to sleep. I refuse to overuse my heavy med. That's asking for trouble. Level 9 for me is the inability to speak, level 10 unconscious. Both require ER visits or a doctor visit if I ever find another doctor caring enough to accept me in these states for a shot of darvocet. But it's been years since I was that bad and a doctor took me into his office. Usually I just get through it on my own. Good luck dear!! Sorry to hear about your COPD. My mom had that and it was rough.

Magnesium potassium combo, magnesium L-Threonate, gabapentin, tizantidine and meloxicam daily. CBD oil, T-Relief and hot Epsom salt baths for bad days. I never use narcotics for fibromyalgia, as it makes pain worse after it wears off.
