Members opened up about their biggest fibromyalgia complaints, with pain and fatigue being the most widely shared struggles across the community. Many members described widespread pain hitting the neck, shoulders, upper and lower back, hips, knees, and legs, with some noting that fatigue and poor sleep were just as debilitating as the physical pain itself. Several members shared helpful sleep strategies, including memory foam mattress toppers, tizanidine, cyclobenzaprine, and high-dose vitamin D, with a recurring theme being the challenge of finding relief that lasts.

I need to get a mattress topper. I take as much Vit. D as I can...5000 units. Any more and I get constipated which makes the gastropareisis worse. I only sleep later in the morning. From 10 - 2 am I wake up every half hour. Usually, after 2 I sleep through until 7. Today, it was 9:20 which isn't good because I'm a type 1 diabetic and my blood sugar goes high in the morning even without eating. My crashing used to happen between 1 and 2 and I would sleep. I would get so fatigued that I could speak in complete sentences. My husband would ask me a question and i just couldn't answer it. Over the past several months, it has gotten better, which I am grateful for. Hope it gets better for you. Thanks for reminding me about the mattress topper.

That's funny we recently got a 3" memory foam topper, on top of our pillow top bed😉
I had been taking tizanadine but when it stopped working, I " advanced" to cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) and only occasionally need Benadryl now. 🥴
I feel like every time I find something that works, it just stops after awhile. Fortunately my PCP is open to changes.
Hugs,
Deb
