It is in uk depending on how badly it affects you you might be able to claim some benefits. You are able to claim on some disability items for VAT exemption to help you, because its a chronic illness and has no cure.

Yes it is now. Disability lawyers only get paid if you do. I was able to get on first try.

Yes, I think so. But know that social security usually declines the first request of most disabilities. After that you need to hire a lawyer who specializes in Disability cases. Lawyers are paid a flat fee for disabilty cases and usually you can pay them out of the money you recieve. I'm not sure if still is that lawyers who lost weren't paid anything. You might talk with a lawyer before.
