Yes, i also tried to avoid claiming the diagnosis. Just like i try to avoid claiming asthma.... Until i have an attack lol. Then things become very much real, just like the pain and insane fatigue of fibromialgia. I recent rewatced an episode of golden girls where Dorothy went through similar symptoms and the doctor made her feel like she was going out of her mind. I think her condition was CFS similar to fibromialgia. I was happy i saw the episode. Never even remember that and i think it was what she had really went through. I remembered listening to a doctor say.. No one person can have so mamy symptoms. It's all in their heads. So, i was happy when i finally found doctors who said.. Oh yes what you are going through is very much real and sympathized but we don't know yet what causes it. But offered some suggestions to ease the pain. But, in closing, sorry i ran on for so long. One big thing that i think helps me with less flares is intermittent fasting. I use an app called fasting tracker to aid. It's almost like flushing your system of the toxins we are exposed to daily from food to mold etc. It's not hard at all. You can blend it into your lifestyle. Give it a try. It has helped me. I for one feel like our diet plays a huge part with fibro as I've been learning my body more. It may not be all of it, but it's a huge part. After all the food today lacks so much nutrients and vitamins even when we think we are eating healthy. Hope this helped someone today. Have a blessed and flare free week. Gentle hugs.
