I did some research and I suggest going to the National Kidney Foundation. One of the medications that it lists is Kerendia. It is for Chronic Kidney Disease. I am not promoting it but it may be a way to stop having to take antibiotics. As you know, the more you have to take the more the infection can build up resistance to it, and soon it will stop working. That medication is also associated with if you have type ll Diabetes as well. If your doctor feels it could help you a 0 co-pay card can be downloaded. Just go up into Windows if you use that format and type in National Kidney Foundation to learn all about different kinds of Kidney disease and see what you find that is best for you. Then discuss it with your doctor. Pyelonephritis is caused due to urinary tract infections by pathogens such as bacteria.
Usually, begins with a urinary tract infection and the infection spreads to the kidneys. Bacteria enter the body through a urethral opening which then multiplies and spreads to cause infection in the kidneys.
E.coli infection is the most common causative of pyelonephritis but any bloodstream infection can also spread to the kidneys and cause acute pyelonephritis. Treatment: Antibiotics are prescribed initially for one week or two weeks and the symptoms should subside within 2- 3 days of antibiotics. If the antibiotics do not give relief, it requires hospitalization, and aggressive intravenous antibiotics are administered. Repeated urine and blood test are taken to monitor the infection. Nutrition
Foods to eat:

Following food habits can help prevent the infection:

Drinking plenty of water – Drinking water will help to flush out bacteria.
Healthy lifestyle – avoid eating junk foods
Contains a low amount of sodium
Less protein intake
Foods to avoid:

Alcohol
Artificial sweeteners
Black tea
Canned soup, broth powder, and bullion
Carbonated drinks

I hope you all feel better and I hope this information from the website helps. You can look up more there.

Nope. I have an overactive immune system. Sounds great but it gives me a zillion allergies. I have asthma because I react to so many things.

I have antibiotics sometimes every 8-10 weeks for UTI’s and ear-throat infections
I keep saying surely they can't be good for me but because my kidney is damaged from lupus and my ear pain always goes around to back of my ear they have effected my mastoid, so these infections have to be controlled.
It is such a pain in the butt
I hope you all feel better soon. Xx

My daughter got a lot of UTIs after being in hospital (she had sepsis) - long story. She ended up being put on a low dose antibiotic for months because they kept coming back. Yours could be an immune system issue. It might be worth having a chat to your doctor.
