LD Naltrexone
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Have any of you heard of or are taking LD Naltrexone? I live in Germany now and my PCP had a new patient that came from the states that told her about the med being used off label for fibro. My Dr did research and was impressed by it. I also researched it and we both thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I started 3 days ago and am experiencing some side effects that are bothersome but not horrible. I am wondering if any of you are taking it what are your experiences.

Hi, Facebook has a group called Low Dose Naltrexone for Chronic Illness and Infections. Just put this in the search feature for FB and you'll find the group. I joined because I wanted to see how people were reacting to it. There are a lot of comments about side effects and from what I observed on the site, the side effects are usually due to dosing each day, which may have to be fine tuned to each individuals system. Hope this helps a bit. I haven't jumped on the wagon just yet but am definitely following. There are a lot of people who got a lot of their lives back.

Why did the Doctor put you on this medication? What did he tell you it was for? It shows that it is to help people who need to come off opioids or alcohol. That’s confusing.πŸ€”
