Members connected over the shared experience of constant muscle twitching, particularly in the calves, with many confirming it happens to them and one neurologist validating it as part of fibromyalgia. Several members recommended practical strategies including magnesium supplements (especially Magnesium Malate), staying hydrated, light stretching, foam rolling, placing a pillow between the knees and calves for support, and even the old folk remedy of putting a bar of soap in the bedsheets. A recurring theme was the importance of ruling out nutritional deficiencies like vitamin D, vitamin B, calcium, and magnesium, while also considering triggers such as caffeine and dehydration.

Definitely, and according to my neurologist it is part of fibro. I take magnesium and use the old folk remedy of a bar of soap in the bedsheets. I used to take a med that stopped the twitching but it bothered my stomach after awhile. Don’t recall name of it but you should ask your dr.

Do you take magnesium to help with your muscle pain and twitching? If not, give Magnesium Malate a try?

Light stretching and foam rolling will also keep your muscles/fascia loose and hydrated.
