I listened to the free Glutenology lecture of Dr. Osborne and accepted his recommendation of eliminating Gluten from my diet. I've been gluten-free for 3 weeks, and the diet plus using Tumeric supplements removed 70 percent of the IBS and joint pain. Therefore I was wondering whether eating Gluten triggers fibromyalgia. Rx meds helped me a lot but I never could take them for more than three months because they caused too much diarrhea

I am committed to eliminating Gluten as much as possible. I love bread and pastries, so it is a big change. Three months ago I experienced the worst pain that I ever had. My doctor told me to take Tylenol four times per day, which is the maximum dosage. I decided to begin researching anything that could cause long-term pain and discovered the Glutenology lectures. Once I removed all the Gluten foods, the pain decreased. So Gluten free worked for me, I did not take the Tylenol four times per day, because Tylenol is on record as causing liver damage. Rarely will doctors point to dietary changes for fibromyalgia, they always encourage taking some type of pain reliever. (I've seen 12 doctors in the past 15 years.)

I think about the 16 or more doctors that I've seen in the past 35 years and all the injections, X-rays, and scans. I carried the same problems from doctor to doctor and this year only one advised an anti-inflammatory diet, which I took seriously. However, he did not say that eating Gluten caused the problems. So my whole life it was eating Gluten that caused the suffering. I believe it is abusive to withhold information that could benefit a patient in order to sell medications and advance expensive lab testing.

If I accidentally have gluten, the next day I will have increased pain, brain fog and speech problems.

Yes, the medication Duloxetine ended all the pain problems within a week. I can not use Gabapentin or Duloxetine because they increased the IBS problems.

Hi MilliePat I have been reading some of your posts and one of them said your meds were helping you but you had to stop them after three months. Can I ask you what they were. I am always looking for something to relieve this awful
Pain. I did go gluten free and it actually upset my stomach worse than before even though I feel fibro has cause so many problems. I did have cortisone shots once a month for three months (that was when the pain was like no other! I couldn’t function) you can’t have another cortisone (only 3 in a year) they did help but that’s the only thing that has. I also have insomnia like so many others and because of my COPD I can’t take sleep meds cause it represses your breathing so that ended that idea.
Have a good
Day!!
Nancy
