I have had tinnitus since I was a child. When I discovered my hearing deficit, I had many hearing aids until the very technical hearing aids came out with a tinnitus manager. So even if you have no hearing problem, you might explore with a Dr. of Audiology whether there are devices just for tinnitus. Also, with the new over the counter hearing aids, with some research you might find a device that is for tinnitus. I think you would waste less time by consulting with the Audiologist. As I type this, the tinnitus in my right ear is really ringing. I'll have to go to my iphone which has the hearing aid program and get to the tinnitus to make the adjustment. Good luck

I understand Jaycee! I have nonstop tinnitus now ,as of six weeks ago. The audiologist and ENT doctor, said it was from natural aging hearing loss for me. It’s the high frequency. The low frequency is fine. (I’m finding I need to be in really quiet environments or it gets louder. Ate at a restaurant this weekend, and it was so loud with bad acoustics. I had to leave as soon as I could. I still had loud Tinnitus for two days after.) They gave me a good app of pleasant sound recordings, that helps when I get stressed out. Be glad to share it with anyone. I hope someone has some good ideas for you.

Thank you everyone for all the comments. It's nice to know I'm not alone πŸ€— but just another annoying thing that brings us all together... I like listening to soft paino music at bedtime.. I also have the issues with sensitivity at restaurants..I've become such a cranky hag when there's children near by in a restaurant as well.. it just baffles me why the hostess puts us (middle aged) near children I usually speak up if, I see a better table 🀷

I have had non-stop, buzzing/high and low pitch in my ears for decades. Once or twice, the buzzing/drilling sounds stopped. I turned to my husband, and asked if I had lost my hearing. That was heavenly, and lasted maybe an hour. I do need music, not too loud, so I can concentrate on that, rather than the buzzing, at bedtime I listen ro meditation music at lower hertz. I wonder if I damaged my ears from all the concerts I went too....
Hope a quiet comfortable night for all of you guys.
