Why do the doctors act like you are faking it? It is in your head? They give horrible medications and say oh it is manageable
Does anyone else have this reaction from their doctor?

My dr was very good bout it cuz he has it himself. He is very understanding. Also I suggest getting lawyer that specializes in disability claims and only gets paid after you do
For those applying for disability with fibromyalgia I would advise contacting a non-profit group called Allsup. They helped my friend's husband get disability for Parkinsons. They helped me with fibro as well. However, I also have PTSD from the military. Many people that develop fibromyalgia have gone through one or two traumas. You might want to check that possibility out. IMHO the more diagnoses you have the better your chances. Know that I was turned down three times before I went to Allsup. Disability is not an easy process. Good luck to all of you:)
I believe those people do that to everyone to try to get out of paying act like its their own money
Hi, up until around 15 years ago fibromyalgia wasn't recognised as a disability but now it is and so long as you have the backup of a good letter from a good doctor then there should not be any problems if there are then you have the right to appeal most justifiably but you will need to be backed up by a good doctor and his evidence is vital. Those at the government department responsible are not really very educated in this matter as fibromyalgia was only recognised as a disability in 1997 by the American rheumatology experts. So long as your doctor point this out to them then you shouldn't have a problem but if you do you should take it as far as you possibly can even to your MP! Please do not ever give up and keep on fighting not only for yourself but for others that may be going through a similar nightmare and I hope and trust and wish that you are successful and treated with dignity and respect throughout your illness. 🙏❤️❤️
Because they cant look at it on an x ray or in a blood draw or anything. They cant figure it out and so they think it has to be fake or something.
