Has anyone reacted to scents that someone else is wearing
I am speaking of someone wearing too much or a perfume/cologne, strong scented hand /body creams that unknown to them emits a very strong scent across a room when in public places, especially restaurants. Unknowingly to them , their perfume/cologne, strongly scented body creams can make someone sick or experience not so nice side affects that will cause someone to leave and deal with symptoms that for last hours afterwards. Members responded with understanding to a post about reacting to strong scented products in public, with many sharing that they experience similar symptoms like headaches, nausea, and burning sensations from perfumes, cleaning products, and even exhaust fumes. Several members noted they now use only unscented products at home, including deodorant, soap, and laundry detergent, and one member mentioned successfully working with a union to address a coworker's overwhelming perfume use. A recurring theme was that scent sensitivity often worsens with fibromyalgia, and many found comfort in knowing they were not alone in navigating this challenge.

I used to work next to a woman who doused herself with heavy perfume every day. I finally went to the boss and said either move me or talk to her about her perfume. My throat was always sore, I was congested, and my eyes were always tearing. Enough was enough! Luckily, I was in a union at the time and they helped me get the response I needed.

Yes, it has definitely evolved. It's not as difficult to diagnose like it was back in the day as I call it. It's talked and discussed about. It was as though the word itself 'Fibromyagle' was forbidden seems like. There is more review of literature and being treated have climbed tremendously.

I can't enjoy Pine Sol anymore. I use to pour some in each sink, on cleaning day. Benefits to the drain as well. A couple months ago the Pine Sol overpowered me. I use very little now.
My lotions I use are scent less, or maybe a mild smell of Coca butter. My scented candles are very mild in its smell; Pumpkin, Carmel Pecan, Lavender Orchid, Clean Sheets.
In my work, perfume, scented lotions, and oils were not permitted. Many patients were affected by nurses wearing anything with scents.
I don't think my reaction was quite as bad as yours but, Pine Sol last too long. I wanted to tear my nostrils out!

I'll take two each!
