Massage causes severe muscle spasms and pain after the treatment. I found accupuncture relaxing but did nothing for my symptoms.
I had a Massage Therapist who was so excellent, he updated his training even with teachers who came over from other nations. BUT then he moved to another state. Massages did work really tremendously for me.
Acupuncture never helped me at all.
We are all unique, you will never know if something will help you, until you try it for yourself. My suggestion, try each one at different times so you can know IF it's helping or not.
As you every things we try to do is to a quick relief 🥲 the only thing that I can suggested is to go get a massage, make sure you let the person’s know that you want a soft tissue massage.
@A MyFibroTeam Member - I'm skeptical about the person giving you those massages. I'm GUESSING that massage therapist was too rough for your body. I wonder IF that massage therapist actually knows any truth about Fibromyalgia.
Wise to stop something that's too painful.
I have booked a massage for the end of this month. The therapist has a few fibro clients. Hope it gives a bit of relief. Thinking about acupuncture too. Also I have been prescribed gabapenton. Haven't taken any yet. Not sure how I feel bout it.
