Fybromyailgia And Menopause!
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Obviously us ladies get to that age when the dreaded Menopause start's but has anyone found that their Fybromyailgia feels much worse since starting the Menopause?

Hiya - I found that the symptoms of the menopause made my Fibro symptoms worse. I suffered with extreme hot flashes which then made my whole body ache from the fibro "reaction" to the hot flashes. I struggle with insomnia so add in the changes in my hormones & wow the fibro was terrible. Sorry you are going through this.

Yes, I thought it was just me! I had a hysterectomy in 2016 which put me into menopause. My symptoms were noticeably worse every since and I've also noticed more symptoms and severity. Hopefully you'll find something that helps.🙏🏽🤗💜

Darn those hot flashes and night sweats!!!
That's the thing though you can get brain fog with fybro and brain fog with menopause along with the horrendous insomnia and trying to cope with the pain! Whoever said Life begins at 50 they lied 😂 or are not suffering with fybromyailgia.
Thanks both of you for your replies and big gentle hugs to you both ❤️ xxxx

Nikki, bahahahaha! I like your reasoning. I had a horrible time with the “Pause” but did not get diagnosed until long after. However I will sometimes still get those hot flashes and night sweats.
