Has Anyone Tried Forteo To Improve Bone Density?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ

I haven't tried it but was told that you can only be on it for one year. It's supposed to improve spine bone loss . I'm wondering about the side effects.

Hi
I have osteoporosis and I get a Prolia shot every 6 mos.
That's the only thing I've tried.
Recent bone density shows that it is helping some.
I wish you good luck with this.

I've been on Fosamax for 3 years. I showed an improvement in my hips too. My doctor wants me to switch to the once a year shot too, but she warned me it causes all over body pain. For a day or two. I'm hesitant because with fibro, I expect the pain to last longer.

@A MyFibroTeam Member probably a good idea to get a bone density test when you can or if you can

Hi Annzie glad you showed improvement but I'm not sure what once-a-year shot you are speaking about because forteo I thought was everyday for a year.
